On this day in 1966, the USS Enterprise began it’s mission to “boldly go where no man has gone.” Since then, the phrase has evolved to ” boldly go where no one has gone before.” I’m not going to be analytical about the success of Star Trek.
Yes we can discuss its positive message about the future.
Yes, we can discuss the various impact the show, followed by its many spin-offs and feature films, has had on our culture.
Yes, we can discuss the numerous fantasy gadgets used in Star Trek that eventually became reality over the years.
But one of the things I love most about Star Trek, are the numerous parodies it has spawned.
