# throwbackthursday Men at Work: “Overkill” or UGGGGGGGG!

The world is going crazy.

Have you noticed?

Okay….. maybe the world has been crazy for a long time.

But lately, I seem to be noticing it more.

Let’s see there’s ISIS, Ebola, enterovirus 68, which some say may be worse than Ebola.

Everywhere there’s construction making driving an adventure evoking conduct worthy of the fourth circle of Hell.

The construction project I’m envolved in has gone way over budget.

The midterm elections are driving me nuts. I know I vowed no politics on Thursday but I’m sorry.

One poll says this.

One poll says that.

Another says this.

And yet that poll says that.

The stock market is up.

The stock market Is down.

Did I pay my phone bill?

Yea, it still works.

Speaking of the phone, how many times a day can telemarketers call and hang up?

I’m on the”no call” list too.

Another brilliant idea from our government.

I’m not sure, but I think I’m going crazy.

I know I’m forgetting something.

I’m not worried though.

I’ll remember the moment it bites me in the tush.

What better song to express my emotions than this 1982 song from Men at Work:

I can’t get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be all right
Perhaps it’s just imagination

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

Alone between the sheets
Only brings exasperation
It’s time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation
At least there’s pretty lights
And though there’s little variation
It nullifies the night
From overkill
