This song came out in 1989 but it didn’t hold any meaning for me until 1995.
It was about six months after my back surgery and after months of bed rest I was finally allowed to start doing more than just having people stretch and move my legs. It was six days a week of physical therapy and everyday I would listen to this song, at least ten times a day.
Here I am twenty years later and, yea, I still have some very bad days physically, but the song still applies. When I feel like I’m starting to get overcome by it all, I put on the headphones and this is one of those magical songs on my playlists to help remind me where I’ve been and the road I still have to travel.
