The latest meme from the Democrats and their mouth pieces is that the Republicans have gone quiet on Obamacare. Their logic is that since the Republicans do not have any hearings or votes scheduled on Obamacare they must be backing off.
Sen. Barrasso gave them this reminder:
What they fail to recognize is Obamacare results will speak for itself . In California, Obamacare costs are $1.2 billion more than expected , as the Senator points out there are articles everyday about the flaws of Obamacare.
Heck, even the New York Times acknowledges this major problem:
In the midst of all the turmoil in health care these days, one thing is becoming clear: No matter what kind of health plan consumers choose, they will find fewer doctors and hospitals in their network — or pay much more for the privilege of going to any provider they want.
For many medium-sized companies, like AmeriMark, the new costs of the Affordable Care Act are an added burden on top of the health insurance premiums that have been rising for years. The largest of the new Obamacare costs, is the health insurance provider tax, or HIT. It’s a tax that the federal government charges insurance companies and the size of the fee depends on how many people the insurer is covering.
Insurers then pass that cost on to employers. And employers, in turn, pass some or all of the cost on to their workers.
It’s a kind of trickle-down sales tax, according to Clare Krusing, a spokesperson for America’s Health Insurance Plans, an industry trade group.
With twice as many Americans saying Obamacare has hurt them or their families than helped, Obamacare will continue to be an issue. Think of Obamacare as a window air conditioner. For those of you who have ever had one, you know they can be relatively loud. Even when it is set on low, you can always hear it in the background. As the mid-term elections heat up, that air-conditioner will be set to high. As all of us who own one of these monsters can attest, you just can’t ignore them when they are set to high.
Come November, Democrats are not going to be able to ignore the impact of Obamacare.
