Now the IRS plot thickens as we discover the wife of former IRS Commissioner, Douglas Shulman, works for this liberal organization.
I”m sure your first question is: “What is Public Campaign?”
According to their website’s about page:
Public Campaign is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to sweeping campaign reform that aims to dramatically reduce the role of big special interest money in American politics. Public Campaign is laying the foundation for reform by working with a broad range of organizations, including local community groups, around the country that are fighting for change and national organizations whose members are not fairly represented under the current campaign finance system. Together we are building a network of national and state-based efforts to create a powerful national force for federal and state campaign reform.
Regarding the IRS scandal, Public Campaign’s CEO, Nick Nyhart, had this statement:
There are legitimate questions to be asked about political groups that are hiding behind a 501(c)4 status, It’s unfortunate a few bad apples at the IRS will make it harder for those questions to be asked without claims of bias.
A few bad apples huh?
Need to know more about Public Campaign?
According to the Daily Caller:
Public Campaign receives “major funding” from the pro-Obamacare alliance Health Care for America NOW!, which is comprised of the labor unions AFL-CIO, AFSCME, SEIU, and the progressive activist organization Move On, among others.
Hey! Remember when liberals wanted Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas, to recuse himself from examining the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, because his wife’s efforts opposing the law?
I’m sure those same people are clamouring to condem Mr. Shulman.
I don’t think so too.
