First the success:
I can’t praise the people of Boston and Massachusetts enough for their conduct during this horrific time. I can’t express the joy I felt watching them celebrate last night in Boston Commons. It evoked in me more joy than watching the celebration after the death of Osama bin Laden. I never dreamed the perpetrator would be apprehended so quickly, it’s nice to be pleasantly surprised. To the FBI, State and local police, once again, there is not enough praise I can heap upon them. I only wish they did not have to lose one of their own and have another gravely wounded while achieving their goal.
I guess I should mantain this sense of good will, but as I look back at the week I’m feeling more like this:
