Today, Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, is going to release his 2014 budget proposal. The Senate will, for the first time in four years, present their budget tomorrow. The President will release his, late as usual, around April 8.
If he finds the time.
Yes, I’m being snarky.
Personally, I think they should follow regular order and wait for the President to releases his budget first. They way the process is supposed to begin.
I know it’s hard to believe but there is an order to the budget process. Unfortunately, without a leader order very quickly turns into chaos. For those of you who have forgotten the proper procedure for passing a federal budget (who could blame you it has been a long time since regular order has been followed,) or for those of you who don’t know the process here is the federal budget process explained in 8 minutes.
