The fiscal cliff caricature

Only six days until Christmas and this is the time one is supposed to show charity towards all. Something always happens to me this time of year. I don’t want to fight or argue politics. I like to reflect on the year and plan my goals for the New Year. I’m finding that considerably more difficult to do this year. Between the insane shooting in Newton, Connecticut and the insane negotiations in D.C and all the insane posturing from those on both sides of the aisle, it’s enough to drive me…INSANE!

It’s too soon to delve into the shooting.  I wish people would step back, take a breath, gain more insight into what happened, while allowing some healing to take place.  Alas, that is not our way but I can choose not to participate in the theater show. I don’t have an answer as to why these events occur nor do I pretend to know how to prevent similar future events from occurring. As for those who claim to have those answers or desire to act for the simple sake of acting, I restate my attitude of charity towards all and my desire not to fight or argue during this time of year.

As for the fiscal cliff, I’ll let these speak for me:

over the cliff

fiscal cliff

great divide

  1. I don’t think we should have to get into the whole guns/no guns debate now either, ….but.
The Dems have repeatedly shown an absence of class, even in times of mourning and/or supposed solemnity.

    Just remember three words:
    Paul.
    Wellstone.
    Memorial.

Will they do it again this time?
    Oh, yeah…undoubtedly.
