Congressinonal hearings: The Security failing of Benghazi

Today, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is holding the first hearing investigating the security failings of Benghazi. The people scheduled to testify are:

Ms. Charlene R. Lamb
Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Programs, Bureau of Diplomatic Security
U.S. Department of State

Mr. Eric Nordstrom
Regional Security Officer
U.S. Department of State

Lt. Col. Andrew Wood
Utah National Guard
U.S. Army

Ambassador Patrick Kennedy
Under Secretary for Management
U.S. Department of State

The testimony of Ambassador Kennedy should prove to be extremely interesting, since he characterized the attacks as pre-planned the day after the attacks occurred.

.

As we now know, there was not any protest outside the Libya consulate before the attack. From ABC News:

.
By the end of the day, the testimony of these witnesses may very well create a major scandal for the Administration nearly four weeks from the election.
