Obama avoids the press

It was a week ago today when Paul Ryan was rolled out as Mitt Romney’s choice for the Republican nominee and the Presidential race has definitely been shaken up.

It has become clear to the media that the President is avoiding them. President Obama had the audacity to tell “Entertainment Tonight,” known for their hard-hitting political coverage; “What the American people hear and what the press corps want to focus on are two very different things”  This from the man who says he wants to talk issues, yet, his campaign seems to be about nothing more than Seamus the dog and tax returns.

As Politico notes the President is even avoiding interviews with Chris Mathews:

Obama has even declined an interview with the friendliest liberal outlet on television. Earlier this month, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd sat down with Mitt Romney for a one-on-one interview that will be featured in an hourlong MSNBC documentary that will air prior to the Republican convention. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, who has been very public about his support for Obama, was not granted an interview with the president for the network’s Obama documentary, which will run prior to the Democratic convention. The White House offered Biden instead.

My god if the President won’t do an interview with a the guy who professed to “feeling a thrill go up his leg” when he spoke, who will he do an interview with?

Oh, of course, New Mexico’s 93.3 KOB-FM.

This is getting to a level of ridiculousness that even Andrea Mitchel is asking questions:

Finally, you knew it would not take long for an ad to be released addressing this silliness, From the RNC:
